In what’s been a busy offseason of recruiting for the Chandler Wolves, defensive back Kentrell Williams Jr. committed to Eastern Washington on Friday.

“Kentrell Williams has worked hard to put himself in this position,” Chandler head coach Rick Garretson said in a message. “He’s comfortable in space, a great tackler and leader on the backend of our defense. He’s a three-year starter, which is an accomplishment in itself.”

In two years, Williams tallied 93 tackles, eight tackles for loss and three interceptions. In addition to Eastern Washington, he holds offers from NAU, Western New Mexico, Northern Colorado, Furman and Southern Utah.

Williams is one of the many returners on a stout Chandler defense looking to make another run at the Open Division championship.
