The Phoenix Suns might have been hoping they could use some of that magic from their 8-0 bubble run to improve their draft lottery odds.

While that didn’t happen, the Phoenix did not see the ping pong balls hurt them.

Entering the NBA Lottery, the team had a 66% chance of landing the No. 10 pick, and those odds were in their favor.

The lottery has been an emotional rollercoaster for Suns fans. Phoenix landed the top pick in 2018 and earned the No. 6 pick in 2019 while having the second worst record in the NBA.

ESPN’s Jonathan Givony tabs Vanderbilt forward Aaron Nesmith as the Suns selection in his mock draft, and The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor links Phoenix to French-American guard Killian Hayes.

The Suns already have one No. 10 pick in Mikal Bridges, who was selected by Philadelphia and traded to Phoenix on draft night.
