Skyline’s Zeke Branham Showing Patience in Recruitment, Offseason

While navigating the most unique offseason ever, many top recruits in Arizona and across the country have moved their timelines up to make their commitments.

That doesn’t seem to be the case for Skyline defensive back Zeke Branham.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound defensive back holds offers UNLV, NAU, Montana State, Yale, Army, Ball State, Columbia, Fresno State, New Mexico, Air Force, Abilene Christian, UC Davis, Lehigh, New Mexico State, Eastern Michigan, Penn, Dartmouth and Princeton.

Despite being unable to visit in person for the foreseeable future, Branham would like to get on campus to check out some schools and parts of the country he is not familiar with.

While he wouldn’t reveal a leader among his offers, he said the Ivy League schools are recruiting him hardest and the fact they are not planning to have a 2020 season does not impact their stock as a destination. In addition to his laundry list of offers, he said schools like Arizona, Stanford and Tulane have been recruiting him as well.

The versatile playmaker is coming off a season where he notched 51 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and two interceptions as a junior. He also scored three touchdowns on offense with the Coyotes. In addition to those stats on the field, he holds a 4.07 GPA in the classroom.

He breaks down how he’s grown this offseason physically and mentally, his patient approach to his recruitment and where he could fit in a defense on this edition of the Venezia’s Pizzeria Recruiting Roundup.
