Brandon Buckner Focused on Versatility, Eyeing Commitment Date

Brandon Buckner was a wrecking ball in his limited time with the Chandler Wolves last year. Despite playing in just nine games due to injury, he logged 53 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 16 sacks and an interception.

On the recruiting front, the 6-foot-2, 236-pound edge holds offers from Oregon, Arizona State, Maryland, Oregon State, NAU, Arizona, Iowa State, Colorado, Middle Tennessee State, Washington State, UNLV, Michigan State, San Diego State and Fresno State.

In 2020, he plans to play more outside linebacker to show off his versatility. He also plans to make his commitment on his birthday in September.

While things are on hold due to the COVID-19, Buckner had plans to get to Corvallis to check out Oregon State. He also wants to learn more about Michigan State. Mel Tucker recruited Buckner at Colorado and quickly offered him when the coaching staff made the move to East Lansing. He has also tripped to Oregon.

Buckner discusses his goals for 2020, where he’s developed as a playmaker and some schools jumping out to him in the video above.
