VIDEO – Whittingham On ASU: “They Never Beat Themself”

All eyes will be on Salt Lake City Saturday afternoon as Arizona State and Utah, two of the top teams in the Pac-12 South, face off under what is expected to be adverse weather conditions.

With a victory, both have a chance to put some distance between themselves and the rest of the of the pack in what is becoming one of the most balanced conferences in the country.

Despite being a double-digit underdog, the Devils have the Utes full attention.

“Maybe the main thing is they never beat themself,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said to Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat earlier this week. “They find a way to get the ‘W.’ I mean, there is no statistical part of their team that you really gotta be overly concerned about. They’re just good across the board.”

Whittingham heaped praise on true freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels whose steady play, particularly in upset road wins against Michigan State and Cal, give Sun Devil nation hope the trend could continue Saturday against a talented Utah defense.

Rain is expected throughout the game. Kickoff is set for 3:00 Arizona time.

Sports360AZ.com will have complete coverage from SLC starting Friday and throughout the weekend.
