Arizona State dug themselves a hole that they couldn’t get out of on Saturday night. The #24th ranked Sun Devils fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter to Colorado on Saturday night and couldn’t recover, losing 34-31 to the Buffaloes. The loss will knock the Sun Devils out of the Top 25 and gives them a 0-1 record to start Pac-12 play.

ASU freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels went  24-39-345 and 2 Tds. however, Daniels would throw a costly interception late in the game to give Colorado the ball back and momentum for a game winning field goal. Daniels was not helped on a couple of occasions by wide receivers who dropped balls that would’ve kept drives alive or perhaps even been scores.

With the loss, ASU has to turn their attention to a tough road game next Friday night at California. The Bears are unbeaten on the season.
