Chandler’s Nehemiah Magalei Remaining Steady in Recruitment

Nehemiah Magalei has been a stable part of the Chandler offensive line for multiple years.

Now, as a senior, he is hoping to help pass the knowledge and experience to younger generations of Wolves.

“Basically I’ve been working with them after practice and in film and in the weightroom, just showing them how to do things,” Magalei said. “(I’m) just making sure they know what to do because they it’s my last year here and I want to keep the ball rolling.”

The offensive lineman currently holds offers Air Force, Northern Colorado, Navy, NAU and Georgetown. Programs like San Diego State, Rice, Utah, Kansas State and Columbia have also experienced interest in him.

The 6-foot, 300-pound lineman is focused on adding strength and size to his frame as he approaches his senior year.

“(I’ve improved) in my lifting. I’ve always been stronger but than everybody but when I came up to varsity my sophomore year, I realized how important eating and lifting weights helps improve your game for playing on Friday nights.”

He has looked steady as can be in one-on-ones at various big man challenges this offseason, and he keeps that same demeanor when looking at his recruitment options and timeline.

“I would rather play (my recruitment) as it goes because I know I can get a few other offers.”
