The Arizona Diamondbacks came home and got a two-game sweep of the Los Angeles Angels.

August 21st: D-backs win 5-4
August 22nd: D-backs win 5-1

Here are a few takeaways from the two-game set:

Walk-off Bunt

A.J. Pollock has had some clutch moments in this season, but who knew his clutch factor extended to sacrifice bunts? In the opening game of the two-game set, the D-backs outfielder laid down a sacrifice bunt, his first since 2014, in the bottom of the ninth in a tie game with Jon Jay on second base.

The throw went into left field, Jay came around to score, and the Diamondbacks took game one.

Clay Buchholz

Clay Buchholz continues to show his value as an addition to the rotation in 2018. After throwing a complete game against the Padres, the D-backs right-hander followed that up with a seven-inning outing of shutout baseball.

In Buchholz’s first 10 starts, he reached the seven-inning mark once. He has pitched at least seven innings in each of his last three starts.

David Peralta

The Freight Train keeps chugging a long, hitting 5/7 with three runs scored, two home runs and five RBI. He is now hitting .306 with 25 home runs and 60 RBIs.

The Diamondbacks now host the Seattle Mariners (72-55) in a three-game set this week.
