Wildcats Add Trio of Defensive Commitments

The Arizona Wildcats had plenty of recruits on campus for visits, and Kevin Sumlin and his staff came away with three commitments.

Linebacker Derrion Clark (Dallas, TX)

The 6’0″, 215-pound recruit has played predominantly defensive line, but has been recruited as a linebacker. In three years, he notched 34 sacks and his FBS offers also come from UTEP and UTSA.

Defensive tackle Kane Bradford (Dallas, TX)

The 6’5″, 275-pound defensive lineman held an offer from Baylor as well as Arizona.

Linebacker Kwabena Watson (Fresno, CA)

The third commitment to come in is three-star linebacker Kwabena Watson, who held offers from LSU, Oregon, USC, Ole Miss, Mississippi State among others. Here’s what 247Sports’ Greg Biggins had to say about Watson on WildcatAuthority.com:

I like Watson, saw him several times over the spring and summer. Toughness is first thing that jumps out. Kid plays angry and will take your head off, even with shirts and shorts. A bit of a tweener, plays DE in a LB body but he makes plays no matter where he lines up. Natural pass rusher with long arms, nice burst off the edge and knows how to get to the QB. Working on playing in space and did a ton of 7v7 to get better in that area. Tireless worker as well, really competes hard and wants to be good so a lot to like about him.

Watson comes from Fresno, CA and stands at 6’3″ and 215 pounds. As a junior at Edison High School, he had 60 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 7 sacks and three forced fumbles.

The Wildcats now have seven commitments in the 2019 class, with four of those commitments coming from Texas.
