Tolleson WR Andre Johnson Commits to ASU

After not having a public in-state commitment for the 2019 recruiting cycle, Arizona State added its third commit from the state of Arizona in the last week in Tolleson wide receiver Andre Johnson.

The Sun Devils were the only offer for the 6’3″, 185-pound recruit.

Johnson had over 1,000 all-purpose yards in his junior season and scored nine total touchdowns. Defensively, he had two interceptions.

“Long, tall, raw prospect that is only going to get better as he continues to mature. He is not a burner but you don’t have to be when you are 6’3″,” Sports360AZ recruiting expert Jason Jewell said. “Does a nice job using his size to his advantage and can make the tough catch over the middle.”

The Sun Devils now have eight public commitments with Johnson, Corona del Sol receiver Ricky Pearsall Jr., Saguaro linebacker Connor Soelle and Basha offensive tackle Roman DeWys as the in-state commitments.
