ESPN reported Friday night that the FBI has multiple phone conversations between Arizona head basketball coach Sean Miller and a sports agent runner discussing a $100,000 payment to secure the services of then-top recruit DeAndre Ayton. Miller allegedly had several conversations with the runner, Christian Dawkins, that were intercepted by the FBI according to the ESPN report. Dawkins, according to the report, was instructed by the Arizona head coach to go directly through him for Aytons services.
Reaction to this story from former Arizona Wildcat player Jason Terry was very strong.
@APlayersProgram BearDown it’s time to clean house and bring home our own bloodlines to carry on Lutes Legacy. We have too much pride, too much tradition to allow outsiders to tear down what we built.

No one in my mentions now? That’s odd. Can’t wait for Arizona athletics to rid of this cancer and get back on its feet. This city deserves it. #beardown
