Saguaro Offensive Lineman Jax Wacaser Commits to UCLA

Saguaro offensive linemen Jax Wacaser has committed to UCLA.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound offensive tackle has been one of the hottest recruits in the state over recent months. Programs like Virginia, Washington State, Vanderbilt, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Cal, UCLA and Northwestern offered Wacaser since the start of his senior season.

Wacaser joins Tempe defensive end My-King Johnson, who is a soft verbal commitment, and former Corona del Sol defensive end Cassius Peat, who originally committed to Michigan State in 2015 before transferring to Pima Community College, as the Bruin commits with Arizona ties.

The three-star recruit is the fourth Saguaro player to head to a Pac-12 school in this 2017 class, joining tight end Jared Poplawski, linebacker Kyle Soelle and guard Corey Stephens, who all committed to Arizona State. The Sabercats should add a fifth playmaker to the conference in safety K.J. Jarrell, who has also narrowed his final three down to Arizona State, USC and Cal.
