Tragic story out of Corona Del Sol high school.
Marcus Wheeler, the 2014 Arizona state D1 cross-country champion, passed away earlier today in an apparent suicide on campus.
Moments before, he tweeted this:

According to the website www.flotrack.org, Wheeler had committed to run for Central Arizona College next season.
He took the D1 state cross-country race title with a time of 15:36.
