Success on the field frequently equates to success on the recruiting trail.
The Arizona Wildcats and head coach Rich Rodriguez, coming off a Pac-12 South Championship and Fiesta Bowl bid, saw the fruits of their labor pay off when 2016 four-star Rancho Santa Margarita (CA.) quarterback Devon Modster announced he’s heading to Tucson Wednesday afternoon.

The 6’1, 215-pounder is considered a top 10 pro-style quarterback by several publications. Last fall as a junior at Tesoro High he completed 191-344 attempts for 2602 yards and 24 touchdowns. He threw just nine interceptions and added 12 more scores on the ground.
Rodriguez believes the Wildcats have continued their off-season momentum, which culminated with a fast-paced spring game last Friday night in Tucson.
Modster also held offers from Boise State (who many considered the favorite), UCLA, ASU, Cal, Utah, Colorado State, UNLV and Kansas.
