“Today in my opinion, I told Brandon this, this was the best game that I’ve ever seen him play at Arizona”.
Hard to argue, when you consider that it’s been just 13 months since Ashley suffered a severe foot injury. He didn’t start playing again until late August, early September last year…

Former Wildcat Nick Johnson was standing a half-dozen rows behind the Arizona bench. He was screaming and motioning instructions to his former UA teammates, exhausting the crowd to get on their feet, and exchanging high fives with anyone within arms reach. I don’t think it had any impact on the players on the court “Nick was being a goof” T.J. MCConnell said after the game. The thing I’ve come to really appreciate about the Arizona program is the former players are always around. Home games, road games, in the stands, and on television as analysts. Jason Terry flew Johnson and himself on Friday to see their alma mater, Very impressive commitment to excellence by the alums…

McConnell is better than terrific. His stat line of 10 points and 11 assists doesn’t speak to the intangibles. If you focus on him away from the action, you can see someone who is a couple of steps ahead of the guy he’s up against…

UCLA has played Gonzaga, Kentucky, and Arizona this year. After the game Bruins head coach Steve Alford said that Arizona is a “top 5 team” over and over in his post game press conference…

There are 31 At-Large teams that will be selected in the March Madness pool. UCLA should be one of those teams in my opinion…

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
-Arizona out rebounded UCLA 22-13 in the second half
– Issac Hamilton of the Bruins, had just 6 points, after scoring 36 on Thursday vs USC
