Jason Jewell’s Friday Night Phenoms: Week 4, 2014 Season

Arizona Sports News online

Every week, Scout.com and Sports360az.com recruiting insider Jason Jewell takes us around the state and spotlights the best performances during the high school football season. Here are the stars from Week 4 of the 2014 season.

Player of the Week

I am not going with one player, I am going with six. My pick for player of the week goes to the six guys that play a regular role on the Mt. Pointe offensive line. In the state’s, possibly the west’s, biggest game, the Pride OL paved the way for a school record 542 yards and 6 rushing TDs against Chandler. In fact, Mt. Pointe threw the ball a total of three times, making their performance even more impressive when the other team knows the run is coming. Congrats to Nick Carman, Davis Perrott, Bruce Hester, Clayton Dry, Deshaun Felder and Collin Lambdin.
