Every Wednesday during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (September 17) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

What advice do you give to fantasy owners who own Adrian Peterson? “There’s no way I’m dropping him at this point. Here is the mindset you need to have when talking about dropping a player: if I drop this guy is he going to sit on the waiver wire or is someone going to grab him immediately and I’m telling you right now that if someone dropped a guy like Adrian Peterson I would be putting in a waiver claim to get him and I’ll sit on him…and wait and see what happens.”

Where are you on Wes Welker? “He should be rostered in all leagues and much like a lot of the Broncos this week, I’m not sure I would start him. Not against Seattle in Seattle…there’s a big different between the Seahawks defense at home and on the road. At home they have that 12th Man advantage. Quarterbacks, offenses they can’t hear. It brings a whole new aspect to trying to successfully run an offense in Seattle.”

What about the rest of the Broncos’ skill players this week? “I’m saying that you should sit Peyton Manning but you should certainly temper your expectations. If you’re deep at running back, Montee Ball is a guy you’re probably going to bench. Can’t bench Demaryius Thomas or Julius Thomas but you’ve got to temper expectations for those guys.”

In terms of quality depth, what position holds the most fantasy value on the waiver wire in Week 3? “This week you are going to find more running backs available who can make an impact for your fantasy team than any other week the rest of the season and I’m confident in saying that because the Peterson situation, the [Jamaal] Charles situation. Ryan Mathews is out. Ahmad Bradshaw has emerged as a better fantasy back than Trent Richardson and Bradshaw is on the waiver wire in a lot of leagues. Mark Ingram’s injured so Khiry Robinson has some value. Waiver wire is so important Brad. You have to go out and grab these running backs. Hoard running backs…it’s smart fantasy football management.”

Do you like any 49er players this week playing in Arizona against the Cardinals? “Absolutely…let’s start off with Colin Kaepernick. Look at Kaepernick against the Cardinals: three career games against Arizona, the last of which was on the road, he’s thrown for an average of 279 yards and he’s had two touchdowns in every game. That’s pretty good.”
