Player of the Week

* Desert Ridge RB Taren Morrison rushed for 358 yards and 5 TDs against Brophy and also broke the D1 state rushing record.

QBs

* Mt. Pointe’s Antonio Hinojosa threw 4 TDs.

* Chandler junior Bryce Perkins threw for 213 yards and 2 TDs and rushed for 136 yards and 4 scores against Basha.

* Marcos’ Josh Eckley accounted for 258 yards of offense and 3 TDs in a loss to Chaparral.

* Saguaro’s Luke Rubenzer threw for 315 yards and 5 TDs and rushed for another 136 yards and 2 scores. WR J.T. Nettleton caught 4 passes for 134 yards and 1 TD.

* Salpointe’s Andy Cota threw for 241 yards and rushed for 101 in a win over Liberty.

* Anthony Hernandez from Desert Edge threw 5 TD passes against Shadow Ridge.

* Seton’s Kyle Johnson threw for 268 yards and 3 TDs.

* Thatcher’s Heath Motes rushed for 104 yards and threw for 198 yards and 5 TDs in an upset over Joy Christian.

RBs

* Mt. Pointe’s Wesley Payne rushed for 133 yards and 2 TDs and had 99 yards receiving.

* Chaparral’s Tyler Whiley had 3 TDs rushing.

* Hamilton’s Tyrell Smith rushed for 135 yards and 3 TDs.

* Williams Field’s Jacob Anderson rushed for 204 yards and 1 TD against CDO.

* Weston Barlow from Queen Creek rushed for 301 yards and 5 TDs against Peoria.

* Shadow Ridge’s Chris Salsberry rushed for 211 yards and 2 TDs.

* Winslow’s Kelly Wood rushed for 281 yards and 3 TDs.

* Joy Christian’s Tonka Wilson had 207 yards and 3 TDs.

Receivers

* Israel Simpson from Chaparral caught 9 passes for 162 yards and 1 TD.

* Cameron Denson from Salpointe caught 9 passes for 100 yards and 1 TD and also had 2 INTs on defense.

* Kaelin Deboskie from Salpointe caught 6 passes for 141 yards and a score
