Chandler continues to roll in dominating fashion over Basha

Arizona Sports News online

Just three week’s ago, a much anticipated matchup between Chandler and Basha was a lot more one sided than many expected. Chandler rolled in that game 49-7.

Fast forward to friday night in the second round of the division I playoffs and once again, it’s the Bears and Wolves facing off. A new game but a similar story.

Chandler and their quarterback Bryce Perkins came out on fire. Perkins would hit Mitch McCulley for a 49 yard strike to get on the board on their first drive. After a three and out on defense, Perkins takes matters into his own hands with a 62 yard touchdown run for himself. Two scores in just four offensive plays for the Wolves.

Chandler would total 35 points in the first quarter. Perkins would throw for two and run for four. They eliminated the Basha before the Bears would have any say in the matter. Chandler moves on now to face rival Hamilton, whom they beat earlier in the season for the first time in 17 tries. That game is next friday and will be played at Highland high school.
