Player of the Week

Mesa Mt. View QB John Clark threw for a school record 423 yards and 5 TDs in the Toros’ win over Mesa.

QBs

*Jake Glatting from Thunderbird threw for 256 yards and 2 TDs and rushed for a 3rd in a win over Washington.

*Luke Rubenzer makes the list again. He threw for 230 yards and 6 TDs.

*Desert Mountain’s Kyle Allen threw for 345 yards and 5 scores and ran another in as well.

*Mt. Pointe’s Antonio Hinojosa was a perfect 6 for 6 with 4 TDs. He threw 3 to recentOregon commit Jalen Brown.

*Josh Eckley is back. He threw for 154 yards and 1 TD. He also topped 100 yards on the ground and scored twice.

*Joy Christian’s Nick Henderson threw 5 TDs against Camp Verde. He threw 4 to Aaron Martin.

*Thatcher’s Heath Motes makes the list for the 1st time. He threw for 146 yards and ran for 123 more and 3 TDs.

*Jeddediah Fagg from Williams Field threw for 277 yards and 3 TDs against Queen Creek.

*Chandler’s Bryce Perkins had 247 passing yards and 3 total TDs against Perry.

*Amphi’s Ray Holbrook had 399 yards and 6 TDs.

*Daniel Bridge-Gadd from PV went 31/41 with 353 yards and 3 TDs. WR Jordan Brown had 12 receptions, 208 yards and 1 score.

RBs

*Skyline’s Francisco Avitia rushed for 325 yards and scored 6 TDs in a 50-49 loss to Desert Mountain.

*Chap’s Elijah Castro scored 3 TDs against Brophy Thursday.

*Salpointe’s Jay Williams had an all-around performance. He ran for 3 TDs, had 1 receiving and had an INT against Vista Grande.

*Empire’s Sean Fitzsimmons had 228 yards and 1 TD against Pueblo.

*CDO’s J.J. Metz had 204 yards on just 7 touches against Marana.

*Shadow Ridge’s Chris Salsberry had 200 yards and 3 TDs against Verrado.

*Big win for Prescott over Bradshaw Mountain. RB Kaine Bayze had 139 yards and 3 TDs, he also went 2 for 2 and threw another TD.

*Amphi’s Dante Anderson had 274 total yards and 2 TDs.

Receivers

*J.T. Nettleton from Saguaro had 3 receiving TDs and had 2 INTs on defense.

*Mark Andrews from Saguaro had 11 catches for 200 yards and 4 TDs against Skyline.

*Catalina’s Marquise Moore had 9 catches for 216 yards and 3 TDs. He also returned a kick for a score against Douglas.

*Sabino TE Matt Bushman caught 6 passes for 176 yards and 4 TDs against Cholla.

*Mesa Mt. View’s Clark Brown caught 11 passes for 2140 yards against Mesa.

Special Teams/Defense/Return

*Chaparral OLB Hayden Pate had 4 sacks, one was a safety against Brophy.

*The Saguaro defense pitched their 4th shutout of the year against Greenway. The Sabercats only allowed 42 yards of total offense.
