Player of the Week

Westview’s Jalen Johnson has come out of no where this year. He rushed for 305 yards and 4 TDs on just 16 carries in a win over Chavez. Westview remains undefeated.


*Cal commit Luke Rubenzer threw for 327 yards and 3 TDs against Queen Creek. He also rushed for another score.

*Washington’s James Rasmussen threw for 282 yards and 4 TDs in their win over Tempe.

*Horizon junior Dalton Sneed stayed hot, throwing for 363 yards and 7 TDs against Mt. Ridge.

*Red Mountain’s Caleb Murray-Thomas threw for 340 yards and 3 TDs. TE Diego Hernandez caught all 3 TD passes.

*Higley junior Tyler Bloom makes the list again, he threw for 285 yards and 4 scores versus South.

*John Clark from Mesa Mt. View threw for 293 yards and 4 TDs in a win over Skyline.

*Buena’s Rafael Adames threw 6 TD passes and rushed for another against Cienega.

*Safford’s Ray Holbrook threw for 300 yards and 3 TDs versus Amphi.

*Kyle Allen threw for 350 yards and 2 TDs.

*Tempe’s Emanuel Gant threw for 277 yards and 5 TDs.

*Seton Catholic’s Kyle Johnson had 7 total TDs.


*Corey Brown from Sunrise Mountain scored 6 TDs in the Mustangs’ win over Greenway.

*Junior Antwoin Marlowe from Washington rushed for 166 yards and 3 TDs versus Tempe.

*Payton Haslam from Mesquite had 5 total TDs against Westwood.

*Taren Morrison from Desert Ridge rushed for 375 yards and 4 TDs on just 11 carries against Mesa.

*Campo Verde’s Gabe Ogbunnaya rushed for 244 yards and 1 TD in their win over Marcos.

*Pueblo’s Jorge Romero had 289 yards and 3 scores versus Catalina.

*Daniel Bann from Sunnyside rushed for 247 yards and 3 TDs versus Nogales.

*Dedrick Young from Centennial rushed for over 200 yards in a win over Deer Valley.

*Prescott’s Kaine Bayze had 231 yards and 4 TDs versus Kingman.


*Saguaro’s J.T. Nettleton caught 8 passes for 141 yards and 2 TDs in their win over Queen Creek. He also had an INT on defense.

*Cole Forsgren from Williams Field caught 9 passes for 157 yards and 3 TDs versus McClintock.

*TE Matt Bushman from Sabino caught 8 passes for 195 yards and 3 TDs.

*Liberty’s Chad Bennett had 4 more TD catches Friday.

*Elijah Marks from Desert Edge caught 6 passes for 170 yards and 3 TDs against Youngker.

Defense/Special Teams/All Purpose

*Raheem Dowdell from Desert Edge had 14 tackles, 5 TFLs, 2 sacks and a fumble recovery he returned for a TD.

*Cory Kasperson from Valley Christian had 112 rushing yards and 1 TD, a TD reception and returned an INT for a third score.
