Arizona Sports News online

The Cardinals announced their preseason schedule on Thursday.

In Week One (Aug. 8-11), Arizona will travel to Lambeau Field to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. It’ll be the second time in the last three seasons that the Cardinals will have traveled to Green Bay.

The Cardinals will stay at home for the next two weeks, as they host the Dallas Cowboys in Week Two (Aug. 15-19) and the San Diego Chargers in Week Three (Aug. 22-25).

The Chargers game will be a reunion of sorts as Ken Whisenhunt, the Chargers’ newly-appointed offensive coordinator and former Cardinals head coach, returns to University of Phoenix Stadium.

Finally, in Week Four (Aug. 29-30), Arizona will travel to Denver, Colorado to take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. It’ll be the ninth time in the past 10 seasons that the Cardinals conclude their preseason against the Broncos.

The 2013 regular season schedule is expected to be announced later this month. The Cardinals are aware of who they’ll play, they just don’t know when.

Arizona has home games versus the Falcons, Texans, Colts, Lions and Panthers, in addition to their regular divisional opponents: 49ers, Seahawks and Rams.
