Hoop Talk!

Alex Barcello(Corona Del Sol) is off to a quick college start for head coach Sean Miller and the Arizona Wildcats.

Barcello had eight points, five rebounds and six assists(no turnovers) in the Cats weekend win over UMBC.

The Hoop Hall West event next month features a pretty good local angle. Dennis Latimore, who
played his sophomore year of high school ball at Mesa Mountain View, is now the head coach of Chino Hills. When Latimore took over earlier this year, images-3Lavar Ball(you may have heard of him) pulled his son LaMelo out of school after Latimore refused to add four players that Ball wanted in the program(you can’t make this stuff up) Latimore led Mesa to the Class 5A state championship and was a third-team all-state selection who played basketball at Arizona and Notre Dame. Some great teams coming into the Valley for this event. Here’s the schedule of games at Chaparral high school.
