There are a lot of supporters for UNLV head coach Tony Sanchez and the progress he has made in Vegas. He gained two new families of support in Arizona on Thursday night when he landed commitments from two players from defending 6A state champs Chandler.
Defensive back Bryce Jackson committed to UNLV over offers from NAU, Navy and Air Force and then just minutes later, defensive tackle Chris Manoa announced that he also was headed to Vegas, picking the Rebels over offers from Idaho, Montana, New Mexico State and NAU.
Chandler head coach Shaun Aguano says, “Tony (Sanchez) will take care of them plus they will be close to home and their family can see them.”
Manoa (6-1 300) made 41 tackles and 4 sacks as a junior while Jackson (5-11 185) made 62 tackles 2 INTs.
