Bring on the Washington Huskies.

Arizona finished their non-conference schedule Saturday night with a 47-28 home victory over Hawaii. With the win, the Wildcats move to 2-1 on the season. Starting quarterback Anu Solomon was sidelined with a knee injury, his backup, Brandon Dawkins would account for four scores(3 rushing, 1 throwing). 636097620768865482-ap-606476599813His 24 and 14 yards TD runs in the first quarter started the offensive onslaught and the Cats would never look back. After the game head coach Rich Rodriguez would leave the door open for Dawkins to continue as the starting quarterback over Solomon.”That’s a fair question but it’s not fair for me to answer,”  Rodriguez said. “I think Anu’s a really good quarterback when he’s healthy. I’m hoping he’s healthy so we have two starting quarterbacks.”

Freshman running back J.J. Taylor would explode on the scene with 168 yards on the ground. He replaced Nick Wilson who had to leave the game with an ankle injury. The two teams would combine for 23 penalties on the night.

Arizona will now face their biggest challenge of their young season next Saturday. The Washington Huskies are one of the top ten teams in the nation according to the pollsters. They will come to Tucson with a perfect 3-0 record. The game will kickoff at 7:30pm.
