Hardworking Otto leaving Arizona State Broadcast Booth

Mitch Otto (far right), Jude LaCava (middle), Brad Cesmat in the broadcast booth for Mitch Ottos final home broadcast vs Arizona.

Mitch Otto isn’t someone you hear when Arizona State football plays a game. But without him, the radio broadcast of Tim Healey and Jeff Van Raaphorst wouldn’t be quite the same. For the last twenty-five years Otto has been the broadcast engineer, the man behind the scenes whenever ASU has played a football game. The guy who shows up to an empty stadium and leaves after the lights are turned off. From Bruce Snyder to Todd Graham. From Jake Plummer to Mike Bercovici. From Charles Harris to Ray Anderson. From the late Tom Dillon to Healey. Mitch Otto has been the cog to keep the Sun Devil broadcast on the radio. I know Mitch personally and you wont find a more loyal, hardworking, family man than him. He is going to leave his job at the end of this season. I asked him to come in studio to go over the last twenty-five years.
