Player of the Week

Scooter Bankofier from Notre Dame had 2 kick off return TDs, 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery and 11 tackles on defense.

QBs

* Brophy junior Cade Knox passed for 314 yards and 4 TDs and ran for 112 yards and 1 TD in their big win over Desert Ridge.

* Horizon’s Dalton Sneed used his legs against Desert Mountain. The UNLV commit ran for 172 yards and 4 TDs while throwing for 195 yards and a score.

* Desert Mountain’s Austin Nuessle had 374 yards and 5 TDs against Horizon. WR Cody Carpenter caught 8 passes for 139 yards and 4 TDs.

* Shannon Burton has Moon Valley rolling. he had 5 total TDs against Central.

* Brian Lewerke from Pinnacle had 197 yards and 3 TDs passing as well as 117 yards and 2 rushing scores.

* AJ’s Adam Abbatacola had 303 yards and 2 TDs against Williams Field, 115 yards and both TDs went to Kyle Gilgert.

* Preston Guerra from Cactus had 4 TDs against Greenway. Matt Eberhardt had 115 yards and 2 TDs.

* Buena’s Jordan Haymore threw for 236 yards and 2 TDs while rushing for 120 yards and 2 TDs against Douglas.

* Heath Motes from Thatcher had 213 yards and 5 rushing TDs against benson.

* Zach Wade from Seton had 212 yards and 4 TDs against Coronado.

* O’Connor’s Bailin Markridge had 288 yards and 4 TDs against Valley Vista.

* Naz Greer from Marcos had 250 yards and 3 TDs in their loss to Salpointe.

* PV junior Daniel Bridge-Gadd had 275 yards and 4 TDs against Willow Canyon. WR Jordan Brown had 153 yards and 2 TDs.

* Az Lutheran’s Cameron Haag had 260 yards and 5 TDs against Miami.

* Tempe’s Emanuel Gant threw for 317 yards and 3 TDs against Shadow Mountain.

RBs

* Desert Ridge RB Justin Irby ran for 147 yards and 3 TDs while Taren Morrison had 205 yards against Brophy.

* Salpointe’s Taylor Powell had 3 TDs in a win over Marcos.

* Sunnyslope’s Tim Fryson had 3 TDs against Fairfax.

* Peoria’s Akeem Rutledge had 178 yards and 3 TDs against Independence.

* Tanner Conover from Gilbert Christian had 300 all-purpose yards and 5 TDs.

* Ontareo Jones from Santa Rita had 200 yards and 1 TD versus Rio Rico.

* Catalina Foothills’ Ian Turner had 12 carries for 234 yards and 4 TDs against Empire.

* Derik Hall from Sahuaro had 4 TDs against Rincon.

* Westview’s Jalen Johnson had 275 yards and 3 TDs Thursday against Basha.

* T.J. Roberts from Desert Vista had 11 catches for 158 yards and rushed for 61 yards.

* Highland’s Josh Chadwick was the state’s first player over 1,000 yards. He had 208 yards and 1 TD against Campo Verde.

* Ricky Wilson from San Tan Foothills had 197 yards and 4 TDs.

* Tuba City’s Brenton Goldtooth had 211 yards and 3 TDs.

* Flowing Well’s Dionte Fores had 5 total TDs.

Receivers

* Christian Kirk had 8 catches for 113 yards and 3 TDs as well as a punt return for a 4th score.

Defense/Special Teams/Misc.

* Hamilton’s defense blocked 2 punts against Mt. Pointe, one for a TD.

* NDP’s Ryan Wood had 2 INTs, 1 for a TD, and 8 tackles against St. Mary’s.

* Chaparral DLs Nate Bridge and Brandon Jamison had 3.5 and 2.5 sacks respectively against Red Mountain.
